Brief description
In the case of a supplier kanban, the point of consumption does not report the demand to an internal supply point, but to an external supplier who has stock of the needed products. In the same way as in the case of a regular kanban, notification of the demand for the exact products to the supply point is passed. The transfer of information takes place only in a few cases with a physical card, but most often through electronic information (EDI, barcode) to the supplier. At the time of delivery, the input inspection and notification takes place, and the products flow directly into the kanban system.
