Roller conveyors

Roller conveyors for transporting packages and cartons in a warehouse

Intralog roller conveyors are solutions with a robust, compact design, intended for transporting packages and cartons with a flat contact surface. They can withstand loads of up to 70 kg per roller, and their modular construction allows for the creation of systems of any size and shape, tailored to individual needs.

Roller conveyor systems in warehouses and logistics

Motorized and non-motorized roller conveyors provide flexibility in designing material flow in warehouses and internal transport systems in logistics and production. Thanks to their modular design, it is possible to adapt the layout to different logistical and production processes.

Modular roller conveyors adapted for transport processes

Intralog solutions allow for system customization based on the type of goods transported, distances between workstations, and operational requirements, ensuring a stable and efficient flow of goods.

Gravity Roller Conveyors – When to Use Them in a Warehouse

Gravity roller conveyors are used in internal transport systems, especially where it is possible to utilize the difference in height between loading and unloading points. They are suitable for simple material flows, on straight sections, curves, as well as in sidings and ball tables, where low operating costs and ease of use are key. In situations where it is not possible to achieve the appropriate slope or a higher level of transport control is required, powered roller conveyors are used.

Intra.POW powered roller conveyors

The intra.POW® system is a group of roller conveyors that is widely used in the construction of complex production lines or logistics systems.

  • Conveyors of this type have a certain number of rollers powered by 24V DC (electric rollers) from which the drive is transmitted via round rubber belts to the appropriate number of rollers located nearby, forming a section.
  • Each electrode has its own drive and can be separately controlled from an appropriate automation system.
  • Such a procedure makes it possible for the sections to differ in the direction of movement and the algorithm of operation, which easily leads to the possibility of building complex logistics systems.

Non-driven, gravity roller conveyors Intra.GR

Gravity conveyors, roller conveyor is a very cost-effective and efficient solution for material handling.

  • The rollers used reduce surface friction, allowing materials to be moved manually without force. Loads placed directly or in containers, flat against the surface of the rollers.
  • The maximum load on the rollers is 110 kg per meter.
  • Gravity conveyors are installed horizontally in areas where the movement of the load is controlled manually or by a slight incline, depending on the height of the station. This allows loads to move due to gravity force.
  • Gravity conveyors can also be used in conjunction with mechanically driven conveyors to form an integrated system.

Recommended as an effective and economical solution for vertical transportation.

  • Mounted at the mezzanine level, it can connect several levels of the mezzanine ensuring that a parcel/cuvette can be returned to each floor.
  • It is a kind of slide that uses gravity to transport packages and the appropriate slope and diameter are selected for safe and secure transport of cargo.
  • The gravity spiral can serve as a single device for transporting units from a height as well as combined with other intra conveyors to form part of an automatic transport system in a warehouse.

Extension (scissor) roller conveyors - intra.FL

These are scissor lifts so-called „snakes,” are used in warehouses, logistics centers, and assembly lines.

  • Recommended in any area of internal logistics, where it is required to provide the ability to flexibly change the flow of goods, to quickly access the area that the conveyor crosses, for example, or to change the length of the cargo transport track.
  • Their flexibility, small size, mobility and adjustable length make them a versatile solution that perfectly complements warehouse automation systems.

Roller conveyors for transporting packages and cartons in a warehouse

If you want to streamline the transport of parcels and boxes in your warehouse, Intralog roller conveyors offer modular, robust solutions that can handle up to 70 kg per roller and allow you to design a system tailored to your needs.

Gravity Roller Conveyors - An Economical Solution for Internal Transport

Gravity roller conveyors (Intra.GR) are the most economical option where there is a difference in level between the loading and unloading points. If there is no difference in level, the height of the supports can be adjusted to achieve the appropriate inclination. Gravity roller conveyors work well for straight runs, curves, spurs, and ball tables, offering low operating costs and ease of use.

Motorized roller conveyors - solution for longer distances and unusual loads

When distances are greater, goods have unusual shapes, or low mass causes problems with gravity feeding, it is worth considering driven conveyors.

The intra.LS®, intra.MOD®, and intra.POW® systems offer various levels of sophistication: from simple straight-line driven conveyors to modular curves, transfers, accumulating bases, and diverters. These systems allow for the construction of complex production and logistics lines with motion control, personnel gates, and drive modules.

intra.LS, intra.MOD, and intra.POW roller conveyor systems – application in logistics and production

Intra.LS is an efficient form of transport with options for pneumatic locks, 960 and 120 degree turns, and sidings. Intra.MOD stands out for its modular flexibility and solutions for transfers and accumulation. Intra.POW is designed for integration into more complex industrial installations. Choosing the right system allows for optimized flow, minimized maneuvering time, and increased work efficiency.

Roller conveyors for vertical transport and expandable systems

For vertical applications, a gravity spiral is recommended, while for temporary or stretched configurations, intra.FL scissor conveyors („snakes”) are recommended.

In the context of a complete logistics system, it is also worth considering complementary equipment: depalletizers, roller turners, belt conveyors, and Pick to Light systems, which improve the ergonomics and speed of operations.

How to choose a roller conveyor system and optimize transportation in a warehouse

The selection of an appropriate roller conveyor system should be preceded by an analysis of material flow and the identification of bottlenecks in the warehouse or production.

To increase ROI and shorten cycle times, it's worth paying attention to key parameters:

  • Types of transported cargo
  • distances between positions
  • Required level of automation
  • Throughput and turnaround time

Testing modular solutions, such as intra.MOD or intra.LS, allows for rapid acquisition of operational data and adaptation of the system to actual needs.

Scalability is also important – choosing a solution that allows for easy addition of turns, sidings, and accumulation modules as operations grow.

Cost optimization includes not only the purchase price, but also savings in labor time, reduction of downtime, and lower service costs.
