The term cargo meter is a unit from the field of road transport and means a meter of cargo area in the cross section of a truck.
 
Brief description
Trucks generally have an interior width of about 224cm and a height of about 240cm. Thus, one cargo meter occupies an area of 2.44m x 1m and, in the case of stacked goods and the most optimal use of space, a volume of 5.8m³. Tractor-trailers have a loading area of 13.6m and 13.6 cargo meters respectively.
