Transshipment traffic refers to the exchange of cargo units between different vehicles at designated points along the transportation route.
 
Brief description
In trans-shipment traffic, two vehicles meet at an agreed point (parking lot, inn, etc.) to exchange their cargo units (semi-trailer, trailer). In this way, goods can continue to be transported without the drivers having to travel the entire route from A to B each time. Each vehicle only travels in a circle between the sending point and the meeting point.
