Fulfillment

By Fulfillment we mean all the activities that must be carried out for the proper execution of an order. Here we include such tasks as order receipt, production, warehousing, picking, packing, shipping, invoicing, but also processing of returns.

Brief description
The Fulfillment process is started as soon as the prior inquiry and bidding work is completed. Order processing begins with administrative and procurement work. The customer order is checked and entered into the order processing system. The paper flow of the order is followed by the flow of goods, where technical-operational order processing is responsible for making sure that the goods are produced and delivered according to the customer's order. This completes the process of organizing, producing as well as distributing in fulfillment of the entire order.
Once the goods have been issued to the customer, an invoice is prepared that will initiate the receipt of payment. This process, so-called “Order to Payment,” ends as soon as the customer's payment is received, thus closing the circle. For a manufacturing company, material movements change the situation of resources, which entails updating material requirement planning.

Further, the concept of E-Fulfillment is understood as the handling of the above-named tasks and activities with the help of IT.
