XYZ analysis (also RSU analysis) is a variation on ABC analysis to improve the accuracy of predicting material consumption.
Brief description
Since consumption planning cannot be directly calculated, the creation of a priority list (classification) is based on a purely subjective view. Past data, the results of the elimination of piece lists and the calculation of fluctuation factors, facilitate the estimation of consumption. If this method is combined with ABC analysis (= ABC-/XYZ analysis), its efficiency can be increased.
