The river transport container is a tank suitable for river transport in Europe and it is possible to lift it with the help of appropriate forklifts.
Brief description
The technical construction of such a container basically resembles that of an ISO container. The internal width is 2,440 mm and corresponds to the size of a Euro pallet (1,200 mm x 800 mm). Depending on the length, we distinguish the following lengths: twenty-foot (6,055 mm), thirty-foot (9,125 mm) and forty-foot (12,190 mm). The height of this container is 2,600 mm.
The loading weight of a twenty-foot container is about 18 tons, and that of a forty-foot container is about 27 tons. This type of container can be stacked up to six layers on top of each other.
