Brief description
In a potential analysis, also known as a logistics audit, the current performance of logistics is compared with requirements and the performance of processes and structures is inspected. The purpose of this analysis is to identify strengths as well as discover weaknesses in order to find opportunities for improvement and to ultimately improve the quality of logistics processes. The logistics audit is then used to estimate the potential for performance improvement. It should also identify and delineate new development spaces of interest.
