Image analysis
By image analysis we mean systems for automatic pattern recognition and electronic image processing. This method of data collection is used, for example, in geology, cartography, medicine and other fields.

Brief description
Image analysis is a process that relies on conversions to identify articles and documents. Objects to be identified are tagged with markings (usually in the form of codes, characters or patterns), which can then be machine-read by sensors. In addition to the identification of articles, these systems can also find applications conveying individual features of the overall information. Depending on the use case, image analysis is an alternative to barcodes and RFID.
A particular area of application for image analysis is handwritten text recognition (OCR which stands for optical character recognition). These systems are able to read handwritten data, such as address data on letters or parcels, with a high reading probability and high throughput speed. In this way, data can be quickly digitized and transferred for further processing.
