Toyota Production Systems, or TPS for short, describes a concept invented at the Toyota Group to increase the performance of all systems in a company by leveraging all employee potentials.

Brief description
TPS is understood as a management philosophy built on an „integrated transformation system” as well as a specific enterprise structure. The goal is the creative activation of employees combined with an increase in economic efficiency and customer benefits. With TPS should be combined the productivity of mass production with the quality of workshop production.

The Toyota Production System is built on more methods, which together with the Toyota philosophy form the methodical basis of TPS. These include such systems as JIT, Kanban, Kaizen and the idea of Poka Yoke.

Cleanliness and order in the company, as well as constant training and education of employees are understood as classic features of this system. The central idea is also completeness and awareness of responsibility in the company. Employees think holistically, linking internal and external customers as well as connected areas with decisions. Joint efforts to overcome problems with cross-departmental structures help tighten the noose and, as a combined enterprise, achieve even greater success.
