During shrinking, plastic packaging (PE or PP with a thickness of 50 -150 μm) to cover the cargo unit is heated to 180 - 220 °C. During this process, the film becomes soft and tightens during cooling (shrinking). Through this shrinking, the film adheres firmly to the goods, stabilizes them and provides a connection to the means of transport or loading.
