QR - Quick Response
Quick Response (QR) is the first cooperative management concept, which was invented in the early 1980s in the US textile industry.
Brief description
The most important steps to be taken when implementing this model are:

- Electronic data exchange
- Changing internal processes, such as automatic procurement of goods
- Joint management in the chain of reaping benefits for the benefit of consumers with cooperation in the areas of planning, product development and marketing.
The concept's greatest success in the textile industry has encouraged companies in other industries to develop the Quick Response concept to fit their specific needs.
Tasks and objectives
The purpose of this model is to enable integrated control of the combined supply chain. Based on the data collected at the point of sale of an article and the transmission of this information to all the companies occurring in the chain, improved sales forecasts are to be created so that, for example, the supply of warehouses, subsidiaries in the trade and manufacturers can be better planned. Further thanks to this model, order cycles and warehouse resources should be reduced through the use of modern information systems such as Electronic Data Intercharge (EDI) and barcodes.
