Coming from the field of quality management, the number of errors (also error rate) is an important indicator for the quality of production and processes in a company or Supply Chains. It allows statements about supplier performance, the error rate in trade or regarding defective parts in production. More recent assumptions also use this number in other areas such as logistics quality.
