A beat is a unit of time in belt production, which is defined for a given manufacturing step.
Brief description
Clocking times are established in a production run, for example, so that they can be better structured and planned. In this way, it is possible through clocking to determine how long one work step takes, what resources will be needed and what results will be achieved per unit of time so as to avoid the occurrence of bottlenecks. The clocking time must not be exceeded in the case of rigid clocking. Flexible clocking requires buffers so that the temporal differences between generation steps can be compensated for.
Model
Required clocking time = operating time [min per shift ] / required quantity achievement [pieces per shift].
