Pick-by-Light is a type of zero-occupancy picking in which a list of goods is replaced on a rack shelf by a digital display.
Brief description
Pick-by-Light systems have indicator lights in the racks, as in displays with an entry, confirmation and correction key. When the picking container is at the pick location, the indicator light then illuminates and the display shows the number of parts to be removed. The picking person takes the goods and confirms by pressing the button to return to the warehouse computer. Thus, a real-time change in the warehouse stock is also reported in the other direction. With Pick-by-Light, you can minimize list swapping or reading errors. In this way, high achievements in product collation can be achieved by directly indicating the quantity to be picked according to the pick location.
