MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning) is the basis for most of the EDV systems used in companies for production planning and production management (so-called PPS systems).
Brief description
A further development of MPR I is MRP II. It has been supplemented with the following functions:
Communicating demand and countering it with a demand offer
termination
additional free size planning
MRP II is divided into the following phases:
1.planning of primary demand
2.quantitative planning
3.forward planning
4.Production management
These phases interact on different levels. It is ideal for forecasting production processes with a regular flow of orders.
