Graf Gozinto
The term Gozinto graph is used to describe a graphical representation used in production planning to convey demand, or also to support production scheduling and machine occupancy planning.
Brief description
The Gozinto graph uses a hierarchical presentation, meaning that it starts at the base with raw materials (Rohstoffe =R), includes intermediate products (Zwischenprodukte =Z) in the middle, and tops out with final products (Endprodukte =E). Since it only shows the total quantity, and does not focus on the bottom of production and individual products, it can be compared with the quantity specification.
With Gozinto graphs, structural relationships in manufacturing are shown. The basis is a structure specification that shows many (or all) of the stages of production. The Gozinto graph here uses a diagrammatic form to show what quantities of raw materials go into semi-finished and finished products. The quantities included in these presentations are made visible in Gozinto graphs by arrows.
Graf Gozinto is consecutively:
- help in presenting the product structure for determining the demand
- an element that supports the planning of lead time and machine occupancy
- a form of visualization positioned between the specifications of the structure and quantity
