Brief description
The space utilization rate describes the ratio between the total space (warehouse) that is available and in the sum of the space used or in use. As a rule, the aim is to achieve as high a space utilization rate as possible in order to make the best use of existing warehouse space resources. Unfavorable use of space and rooms is most often encountered where small and large, flat and large-volume items are stored together in a single warehouse, as well as parts and products that occupy a large space.
