Who was the customer?
Manufacturer of child seats - a flexible transport solution between the hall and loading
Customer challenges:
The client - one of the leading manufacturers of children's car seats - faced the challenge of efficiently handling multiple loading gates in an existing complex hall layout.
Biggest limitations:
- The hall was already built, and the 12-meter-wide conveyor corridor could not be built with stationary conveyors.
- The need for a flexible and mobile system that provides continuous transport from the hall all the way to the inside of the container - up to 40 meters from the starting point.
- Operating several gates in a day - the equipment had to be easily rearranged and compatible with the sorting system.
A solution designed by Intralog
We have designed and implemented intelligent stretch roller conveyors (stretchers) that fully meet customer needs:
- Two stretch conveyors of 20 m each, with the possibility of combining up to a maximum of 40 m of conveying line length.
- Mechanically and electronically connected system - stretchers communicate with each other, synchronized operation (e.g., stopping one = stopping the other).
- The conveyors can be easily plugged in, out and connected to different gates - one solution supports multiple locations.
- Operation from gravity pallet racks, integrated with the master system - product + shipping label + automatic sorting.
- Universal sorting arrangement (3-4 trips) - the possibility of spreading out the stretchers for each trip.
This flexible and cost-effective approach allows the entire width of the transportation corridor to be preserved, without the need to interfere with infrastructure.
